UOFN ASSESSMENT & THE BACKEND SYSTEM
All DTS's run at YWAM Muizenberg must be registered and assessed through the University of the Nations Backend System per the following protocol. It is the DTS School Leaders responsibility to make sure your course is properly registered and assessed so that your students can be given their graduation certification and gain credit towards University of the Nations Degrees.
Below is a direct link to the UofN Backend System in which you can login, register your school, add your students, complete your C1 & C2 Forms and eventually print out graduation certificates.
If you do not have access to the system and require a username and password please email Mandi Dreyer at registrar.afme@uofn.edu and ask to be added to our YWAM Muizenberg School Leaders list or else click the "sign up" link on the front page. Should you have any struggles getting a user name and password contact the DTS Department.
Once you are in the system you will find three options in the top left hand corner: INSTANCES, REGISTRATIONS and REPORTS.
You will only be working with INSTANCES!
TO REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL
Click NEW INSTANCE
Drag down to Discipleship Training School (DSP 211 & 212)
Click on create instance: Lecture phase and outreach
Fill in the Basic Information at the bottom
Your School Name (example: Experiencing the Word, A Life Together, etc) Discipleship Training School
Average lecture phase cost is $900
Course Languages: English
Primary course leader & Second course leader - You can only enter two people max. These names will also be on the certificates for graduation.
Custom course Description: You can copy and paste your school information that you put on the website here.
Add Lecture Phase dates (11 weeks) and Outreach dates (12 weeks) ... Lecture phase finishes on Friday week 11. Outreach starts Saturday week 11. (Example. 7th December Lecture Phase (Friday) - 8th December Outreach (Saturday)) ... for date references for your schools quarter view the Corporate Training Calendar.

the next time you login your school will be stored under My Instances (if you can’t find it here, click on 'incomplete' and scroll down until you find your school)
Lecture Phase / DSP 211 (C1 Forms)
Overview - What you have just inputted above
Add students - Add all of your students manually and complete all necessary information highlighted in RED (if a student drops out of your school or for any other reason doesn't complete the lecture phase please delete them from your list).
Evaluation and Hours - Complete all necessary information in the RED BOXES (must be completed at the end of lecture phase). The TOTAL HOURS must be at least 50 Hours per week. If you have any questions feel free to contact the DTS Department.
Weekly Topics (must be filled in weekly) - Click 'add topic' next to the week ... then input number of days, topic name, type of activity and format from the dropdown menus.
Outcomes - What did the students learn from the week?
Content - What did the speaker teach about (Key Points)?
Resource Materials - What did you use?
Teacher - Drop menu if taught before (If not then you need to add them and their details)
Save
Grades - Input each student's grades in the drop down boxes ... most of the time they will be complete and satisfactory (all assessments completed, class attendance, work duties done, growth in their walk with Jesus)
*If a student is being marked as 'incomplete' (would only occur on medical grounds, family situations, etc) this needs to be agreed upon and submitted to the DTS department and International DTS Centre.
When you are satisfied with your input submit your lecture phase (must be completed within a week of lecture phase completion).
OUTREACH PHASE / DSP 212 (C2 FORMS)
Add Teams - Place students into the correct teams and input the Outreach Team Leaders. If the leaders are not in the drop menu then you'll need to add them manually. Give Teams 1, 2, 3, etc outreach location names (example: Germany or Germany/Netherlands if more than one location).
Evaluation and Hours - Should be finished by the start of debrief (exact same process as with lecture phase).
Team evaluation - This should be completed by your Outreach Team Leaders. Input dates per location, location name, and ministries. You must also add 2 debrief weeks located in Muizenberg here (all in all 12 weeks total: 10 weeks of outreach, 2 weeks of debrief).
Grades - Exact same process as with lecture phase.
When you are satisfied with your input submit your outreach phase (must be completed by the end of debrief).
Payment
The Finance Office will complete payment for your DTS registration. If for some reason payment hasn't been issued by the time you need to print certificates for graduation please contact John in the Finance Office.

PRINTING GRADUATION CERTIFICATES
Once you have completely finished your C1 & C2 Forms and everything is 'green' - click on SUBMIT INSTANCE.
You can then download the certificates (lecture DSP 211 and outreach DSP 212 certification prints out on same certificate). If you need help printing off your certificates for graduation connect with the DTS Department or Sharon Sulter.
