GETTING THE VACCINE

Currently you can register to get the vaccine is you are older than 18 (as of August 20th).

Anybody, locals and foreigners who live here, can register with ID book or even foreign passport, whether you are here on South African medical aid or on foreign medical aid!

Many South African vaccination clinics use the Pfizer (now called Comirnaty) Vaccine - that means two jabs. You will get a date for the vaccinations sent by sms after registration but also walk-ins are possible if you have private South African medical aid.

The Johnson and Johnson vaccine has also become avaliable in South Africa, you just will need to do some research to find locations for this particular vaccine if you are interested.

Vaccination Centers:

  • There are many centers at Clicks and Dis-Chems as well as some Discovery Virgin Active Gyms in and around Cape Town.

  • Closest to Muizenberg : Clicks Pharmacy at (Blue Route Mall or Capricorn) and Warren’s Pharmacy (Fish Hoek).

What do you need to register?

1. Access to the internet on any device (cellphone, laptop, tablet, desktop etc.)

2. Your ID number or Passport (non-RSA), general contact information (your cellphone number will be used as the primary mode of communication).

3. Information about your employment (primary employer and location of work)

4. Where relevant, your professional registration details, and medical aid are also requested.

5. With all information at hand registration should take approximately 2-3 minutes (Three steps)
