HISTORY OF SOUTH AFRICA
The history of South Africa is too complex to explain in such a short place but we will cover and discuss it in the Staff Development Track that we require of all new Training staff
We recommend for all new staff to read these books if possible to prepare yourselves to be immersed into the complex history and culture of this beautiful nation:
“Born a Crime” by Trevor Noah — the required reading for the Staff Development Track
“Long Walk to Freedom” by Nelson Mandela
“Cry the Beloved Country” by Alan Paton
“No Future Without Forgiveness” by Desmond Tutu
“I Write What I Like” by Steve Biko
“Country of My Skull” by Antjie Krog
